First session on the ALPHA court

Join the ALPHA place, finish the Learn PB drills that are actually in your build, then pass and shoot before you lock a build.

Confirm the court before you practice

Open Roblox and use the ALPHA listing, Place ID 80681221431821, by Practical's Games. The public title on the listing checked for this page is [ALPHA] Practical Basketball. Skip a quiet OUT NOW place and any restricted place that will not load. The official description says this alpha is not final, bugs are expected, and issues should be reported in the communications server.

Use the built-in tutorials if they are in your build

Written beginner guides name a Learn PB tutorial set. The skills they list are Shooting, Passing, Dribbling, and Finishing. Two later guides also name Defense and Post, so the menu you see may have four drills or six. One guide says completing tutorials pays Coins. No public source gives the payout amount, so do not expect a specific number.

Repeat a drill until the move actually scores or completes. The tutorials are there to teach the input, not to be skipped for a reward.

A first-session order that does not depend on a build

  1. Watch how teammates space the floor and move without the ball before you call for it.
  2. Pass with 1, 2, 3, and 4 until you can hit the teammate number you intend.
  3. Hold E and release a stationary open shot. Then tap E once so you can see a pump fake.
  4. Only after those two shots feel different, try a layup (hold E while driving) and a dunk (Shift plus Space on the way in, or hold Space near the rim when you are standing under it).
  5. Lock a build after you know which job you want. A creator that can do everything is not what the published sheets describe.

Where to play after the drills

Use a Gym when you want reps without a queue. Blacktop is the casual queue named for trying a build, with formats from 1v1 through 5v5 described for the alpha. Ranked Rec is the competitive 5v5 named in the release trailer. Enter it after you can contribute without only shooting.

What done looks like

You can pass to a numbered teammate on purpose, make a stationary open shot on purpose, and tell a tap of E from a hold. If a key does something else, stop and compare it with the PC controls page and the live prompt. Do not install an executor, macro, or timing script. The official description says cheaters are detected and banned.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do codes 100M and RELEASE still work?

On 2 Nov 2026 those two strings were listed as working, with matching coin rewards. This wiki has not redeemed them. Some pages still say the Shop or Store codes control is missing, so treat a missing button as a build difference, not as a typing error.

Which Practical Basketball listing is this wiki about?

The ALPHA experience by Practical's Games, Place ID 80681221431821. A second public place titled OUT NOW belongs to Practical's Physics V2 and is not the listing this site documents.

Is Practical Basketball free to join?

The public game record lists no price to join. Cosmetics and passes can still cost Robux. No pass names or prices are published here.

Are the PC controls final?

No. The official description calls this an alpha, says nothing is final, and tells players that the control list lives in the community server. The charts here are the inputs that more than one written guide agrees on, and they still need a live recheck.
